Am I committed after an initial meeting?

There is no commitment to proceed.

What are the costs?

We are remunerated by the companies we recommend; there are no additional costs to clients from Summit Wealth. In cases where we recommend an external specialist, we disclose all fees in advance and ensure these are reasonable.

How long does it take?

The process progresses at your own pace.

How often will I see my advisor?

This is down to your own preferences. In addition to regular updates by email/phone, we also look to schedule face to face review meetings every three months.

What happens if I leave Switzerland?

When we recommend a product to you, we will explain the effect on the product and taxes if at a later date you relocate from Switzerland. We would maintain contact with you through the normal methods of communication, such as telephone and e-mail. Many of the companies we recommend allow online access to your account information.

Are you regulated?

We are member 2969 of Association Romande Des Intermediares Financiers, which is a self-regulating body which supervises financial intermediaries on behalf of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority. As a member of ARIF, we enjoy a good reputation in respect of our professional activity and guarantee compliance with the obligations under the MLA and under ARIF’s Articles of Association, Self-regulation Rules and Directives. Where are you located? 

We are based in Zug, five minutes walk from the main train station. Our advisors regularly travel throughout Switzerland to meet with clients and are happy to meet wherever is convenient for you.

Why should I use you instead of my bank?

As a wholly independent Swiss company, we have no direct ties to any one financial institution, we are able to research the market and recommend the most suitable products and services to meet your needs. 

Are all your clients high net worth?

We deal with all expatriates, not just high net worth clients. For example, we are happy to meet young professionals - the earlier one starts planning for one’s financial future, the better. 

What would happen to my investments if Summit Wealth AG were to go out of business? 

We do not hold any client money, hence in the very unlikely scenario that Summit closes down; your money is not at risk.

Where do I go if I need to make a complaint?

We set ourselves the highest standards, if at any time we do not live up to these standards we encourage you contact us. Please see our complaints procedure for more information.

Can I refer people to you?

We never cold call to acquire new clients. Referrals are key to our continued success and if you are pleased with our service, we would be delighted if you want to refer your friends and colleagues to us.  Just pass on the details to your advisor and we will be happy to provide a financial review.


Can I transfer my UK pension overseas?

It is possible to transfer your UK company pension to a Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme. The decision over whether this is advantageous or not is a complex one, that is very much dependent on your personal circumstances. Our advisor will take the time to understand your situation and explain your options.
